Suggest Treatment For Bent Forefinger With Hand Pain
Question: My father having a age of 68years has problem in fore finger. Fore finger is not getting straight and at the end towards palm there is pain sometimes.
He has consulted so many doctors and they told to do some exercise and take some medicine (prescription attached).
Need immediate suggestions or advice to get it corrected.

Your father has a trigger finger which happens due to inflammation of the tendon. In addition to the medicines he is already taking he can be given a steroid injection locally to reduce the inflammation. Exercise is the mainstay of the treatment and prevents the recurrence. In case the problem is persistent then surgical treatment can be considered as a last option.
