Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Please ask The Kid s Doctor for advice about your family s health and well-being: When we went to my daughters well visit, the doctor said she might have a short tendon in her right pinky finger. Her finger stays up in a bent position. She badly burnt that finger and broke it. Does that have anything to do with it? Is this also called a trigger finger, or is that something different? Do you know what this means and what you can do for something like this? He also said she may grow out of it. Is this also possible? Thank You!
It looks from your details that your child had burnt her finger and at present it is bent. It looks that she has contracture of her tendon of little finger. I shall advise you to consult to your plastic surgeon. She may need surgery to lengthen her little finger.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mukesh Tiwari, Orthopedic Surgeon
