Question: Dear Doctor,
I had stomach related issues for the past three to four years like bloating ,burping, gas feeling, constipation and lack of appetite.I did an endoscopy before three years and it mentioned severe pan gastritis ,Lax XXXXXXX .Doctor said it is HYPLORI infection.I took medication for around three to four months like somprez 20 and ganation moring and evening before food. Some how the discomofort was there and i again did the endoscopy before 8 months and it said erosive gastritis, bulbar duodenitis & lax XXXXXXX I was asked to take the same set of medication for the next three months.I have reduction in symptom but on and off it is coming and going like bloating, gastric feeling ,tighness sensation and lack of appetite. All my other blood works are normal.I have sometimes metallic taste in the tongue or bitter taste.I do not have the feeling of quicker gastric emptying. All short term symptoms but iam worried a lot.Should i need to take long term medication if yes what is the dosage..should i frequently do endoscopy? or it it not required. Is my condition fully curable.I develop lot of stress due to the same.Is it a small problem and please tell me whether it is gastric problem or is it related to LAX XXXXXXX .
Doctor Sorry for posting my question too long.

Brief Answer:
Combined approach of treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for you query and an elucidate history.

Yours is a diagnosed case of gastritis and lax XXXXXXX ( lower esophageal sphincter). And you have already taken a course of medication.

Since this is recurrent, I would advise to go for an ultrasonography, preferably CT scan of the abdomen to rule out pancreatic tumors which can cause persistent gastritis. Endoscopy can be done at 2 months of treatment and review at 6 months.

For the XXXXXXX a prokinetic like Domperidone should have been added. As also an antacid, small frequent meals , not hot and spicy foods, only soft and bland diet.
Stress is the biggest enemy of all these medical condition and one enters into a vicious cycle of gastritis > stress/ anxiety > increases problems > leads further to more gastritis - bloating, burping, gas feeling > leads to IBS ( irritable bowel syndrome ) like symptoms as mentioned added with constipation and lack of appetite. This is both a gastric problem added on with the lax XXXXXXX

This is fully curable once the vicious cycle is broken by your willingness to change lifestyle to suit a calm and quiet life, medications and other essential changes in day-to-day life like complete sound sleep, exercises like walking, meditation, yoga and such naturopathy.

I hope you must have taken a proper treatment for Vitamin D deficiency.
Also take a therapeutic dose of Vitamin A .

I hope this helps you and please feel free to ask for more if you need to .
