What is Duodenitis?
Duodenitis is inflammation of the duodenum -the first part of small intestine just below stomach. Can be of sudden onset called acute or of prolonged duration called chronic . Usually caused by a bacteria H.Pylori, which transmits from person to person, food and water. Can present with nausea, vomiting, burning in stomach, and indigestion. H.Pylori can be diagnosed by blood,stool or breath test.
