Since when does your friend have nasal block with body pains?
Does he have fever with head-ache?

It could be due to these possibilities-
1. simple rhinitis (virus infection causing cold and body pains)
2. sinusitis -( nasal block with fever)
I suggest you to consult ENT surgeon and get detailed ENT examination, he may require antibiotics (sinusitis). Nasal decongestants sprays (xylometazoline) and paracetamol (simple rhinitis). Dose, strength and duration can be decided by your treating doctor.
I also advise to do steam inhalation.
