Suggest Treatment For Blood In Stool
Question: mine son is 23 he has not feeling good for last 3 or4 days saids he tastes like blood in his mouth time to time and now found like dark blood in stool and blood on papper when he wripe what could be the promblem

I would like to know is there any dental problem?
Does he have mouth ulcer?
Has he suffered from cold or sore throat recently?
This are few causes which can present with blood like taste in mouth.
Few of the common causes include Smoking, Regular alcohol intake, chewing of betel leaves or tobacco
Eating of spicy food and oily food, Worm infestations, gastroenteritis may be responsible.
Presently I would suggest him to avoid smoking, alcohol and spicy food for few days. Take capsule omeprazole 20 mg once daily, empty stomach, 1/2 an hour before breakfast for week. Along with that take probiotics like sporolac or ecobion for few days. And also curd will be beneficial.
I would not put you on antibiotic right way. But I would suggested you for stool routine and microscopy if the problem persist.
