Suggest Treatment For Blood On Scrotum
Question: Last night I notice blood in the toilet bowl. on closer inspection it was coming from what looked like a broken blood vessel on my scrotum. I put a small band aid on it, underwear and returned to bed. There is a little blood seepage this morning and of course the band aid is firmly attached to the pubic hair. Should just leave it for a day or so and try to soak it off? What is the cause if any? Do I need follow up?
Brief Answer:
It would heal over the next few days.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXX.
Was there a rash to begin with? Its quite rare for a crack to develop on the scrotum without any predisposing conditions. If there was anything leading up to it do let me know.
If its a small crack then don't worry it will heal fast over 5 to 7 days. Just keep it clean and covered. It would be better to remove surrounding hair so it will be easier to put a bandage. Nothing else need be done.
Take care and let me know if I can help you any further.
