Suggest Treatment For Brain Fog In The Mornings
consider sleep apnea/thyroid/other medical problems
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question
First I would ask your doctor to consider sleep apnea. It is quite common and can cause the symptoms that you are describing.
Next make sure that your doctor has tested you for diabetes, thyroid disease and anemia as they can contribute to your symptoms.
The supplement you are on is a good one but you may need to take it for several months to see a result. Another supplement that helps with mental clarity is phosphatidyl serine. Taking a multivitamin, extra vitamin C and an omega 3 fatty acid supplement is also a good idea.
If you really feel that your mental function is failing then having your doctor send you to a psychologist for neurocognitive testing may be helpful.
Here are some other suggestions. Cut down on carbohydrates in your diet. Carbs are sugars and starches like bread, pasta, potatoes and rice. Carbs make us tired and groggy if we eat too much of them and not enough protein.
Exercise every day. It can be just walking for 30 minutes but it really helps with fatigue and brain function to do some sort of exercise daily.
I hope you are feeling better soon.
