default
Posted on Mon, 6 Nov 2017
Question: My mother (77) had an couple episodes where she became short of breath, and coughed up foamy clear slime and lost bodily function. She had EKGs, CTAs, Stress test with the shot, Stress test with tread mill, blood work. She had lung test, colonoscopy. All came back fine. The only thing they could find was her BP was fluctuating. The hospital kept her over night and gave her BP pills, and Iron pill. But she is still complaining that she gets shortness of breath after a short walk. She is not on any medication. Any Ideas what else we can try.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir

After going through the medical details provided by you I understand your concern for your mother's health and I would like to suggest you to kindly get an Echocardiography done if it's not done yet. If it has already been done I would like to see the reports.

Also it's advisable to get one HRCT chest done as it will reveal the status of cardiac and pulmonary functions.

Holter monitoring can also be done to rule out any transient cardiac Arrythmias that could have caus ed her loss of consiousness.

I hope this information will be helpful.

Kind Regards
