Brief Answer:
Onychomycosis (fungal infection) of the nail.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome again to the forum and thanks for your swift follow up.
After analyzing the picture with best clinical acumen I can make out that you have Onychomycosis (fungal infection) of the nail.
It is quite common to find this kind of condition especially in females due to repeated wetting of the hands. Fungus favors the areas where there is more moisture or wet areas are present. At the nail folds there is repeated tendency of moisture content leading to easy fragility of the space between nail and skin. This leads to growth of fungus inside the nail.
You can see that the nail at its distal end has yellowish debris. This is just few millimeter and shoes that the infection is present from just 1-2 months only.
In your kind of cases I prefer to give oral tablet containing terbinafine in it. I prefer to give a dose of 250 mg of terbinafine daily after meals for 30 days and then reanalyze the nails before giving another course.
The most important part is keeping the hands dry and less wetting of the hands to prevent further recurrence.
I hope these information will help you. I will be glad to guide you any further.
