Question: I have a big bruise on the back of my knee. I need to make a trip by car in 3 days will it be safe to travel? The car trip takes about 8 hours .

Hello,
I have studied yout case. I think you are having knee synovitis. In this condition there is no problem in travelling but you need to keep medicine such as Tylenol with you. It will improve your bruise and pain. Before I advised you any thing further I would like to know little detail of the illness.
1.Since when you are having this bruise ?
2.Do you have any pain in knee joint ?
3.Do you have problem with knee movements and bending?

The bruise appeared on December 24th.
No pain in knee joint.
No problems with knee movements or bending.
Only pain is if the bruise is touched at night while sleeping. That problem is much better for the last couple of nights.

I have studied your case and I think you can safely travel in car. You can keep a Tylenol or Paracetamol tablet for occasional pain. But I think you would not have any problem in car.As you told that this lesion is in healing condition so It is very good sign.
