Suggest Treatment For Buccal Mucosa Tingling And Numbness
Seems to be reduced sensation, not completely numb..
Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that the symptoms of numbness of the buccal mucosal surfaces inside the mouth with some sensation present on pressing with finger nails and no feeling on touching inside the mouth can be related to nerve related problems that can be probably related to Trigeminal Nerve which supplies sensation to the face and mouth..
I would like to know a few more details so that I can guide you better..
1.Do you have any lesions on cheek or rawness and inflammation?
2.Any history of Dental Anesthesia or recent dental treatment?
3.Any history of recent traumatic injury on face or head?
4.Do you have any allergies?
5.Did you ever got your blood pressure, Haemoglobin, Serum Vitamin B12 or blood sugar checked?
6.Any feeling of numbness or tingling sensation in any other parts of body?
Please revert back with answers..
Wishing you a good health..
Regards..
You need further evaluation..
Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome back..
As per your answers it seems to be related to either nutritional deficiency or nerve related problem..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Pathologist and get evaluated and investigations like serum Vitamin B 12 levels, Haemoglobin % and serum ferritin levels along with it if any nerve related problem is suspected after clinical evaluation then you can also be advised Nerve conduction velocity and Electromyogram for confirmation of diagnosis and can be treated once the diagnosis is confirmed..
Any further queries are welcome..
Regards.
