Brief Answer:
Transient Lingual Papillitis. Get it examined since it bleeds.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. These tiny bumps on the tongue are are known as Transient Lingual Papillitis.

2. These are usually inflamed papillae or taste buds on the tongue.

3. Usually no treatment is required. But since they are annoying, local antiseptic gels, cold compresses, medicated gargles, multi-vitamins, anti-reflux medication and a bland diet is advised.

4. Since it is swollen and bleeding, it is better to get it examined directly by a specialist.

5. The cause id unknown. With your history, it may be worsening with abrasion by the bread or food allergy.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.

Some rinsing with a good mouth wash or perhaps rinse my mouth with salt water?
I do have a upper denture might be created with bacteria ? I will get someone to look at it just to be safe

Brief Answer:
Yes, dry food causes abrasions. Get the denture and the bump examined.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for writing back.

1. Yes, dry foodstuff may cause abrasions and cause it to bleed.

2. A saline gargle or an OTC medicated gargle will help heal it faster.

3. Get the denture and the bump examined. It may be a tongue bite or repeated injury due to the denture.
