Question: I am a male. I have a large bumb in the pubic hair region of pubic area.. I used to shave all the time... and stopped long time ago.. thought this was a pimple for the longest time.. I have had this for months.. cant pop it.. I have actually cut it to see if that gets rid of it.. cut it off. nope.. it bleeds, NO PUSS OR ANYTHING. just blood itself comes out... then heals and comes back again.
I don't think its a std.. since I haven't had this spread anywhere else before...

Brief Answer:
It looks like Haemangioma.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw the pics. I think this could be Haemangioma - a swelling that occurs in relation to blood vessel.
There are no medicines for it.
In my opinion, you should consult your Surgeon, get it removed surgically and send it for histopathological examination ( Biopsy ). Exact diagnosis will be confirmed. It can be done under local anaesthesia as Day case procedure.
No, it is not STD. In fact I would not be concerned about it.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards

Brief Answer:
Exact cause is not known.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Exact cause of Haemangioma is not known.
Your swelling look like Capillary Haemangioma.
Biopsy will tell the tissue of origin of the swelling.
If it is removed with atleast 2cms margin, chances of recurrence are less.
Wish you good health.

ok thanks for the info, couple last questions..
is this normal in a male that is 36.. and in the pubic hair area? when I googled it says normally for infants and younger children.. but on face or neck?
will this go away by itself.. or only by surgery.. and is it safe to just leave it alone?
should this make me worried about some other health issues I might have?

Brief Answer:
You should remove it for exact diagnosis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Capillary Haemangioma can occur in any area where blood vessels are present.
In infants,it is common over face.
It looks like Haemangioma. But,the exact diagnosis will be confirmed by Biopsy only.
Hence, you get it removed with 2cms margin and send it for Biopsy.
Let us confirm the diagnosis first.
Wish you good health.
