Suggest Treatment For Bumps On Uvula

Question: Hello Dr. For about 3 years I have had two bumps on either side of the uvula that are hard and yellow\white in color when pressed on. My Ent said these were cysts and there was no concern. In addition, I have had a hard white bump on the mucosal lining next to the base of my tongue, but its on the mouth lining, My concern is that these are warts and or precancerous cells. My Ent said this bump was smooth in surface so he didnt think it was a wart,, but could not provide what it could be. It is hard, white, and a milmeter in size. I have seen an ENT who said these are normal cysts. I had a tonsillectomy, and these were already present. These appeared at the same time 3 years ago with no growth since. I do smoke but have cut back a lot. Do you have input on what they could be? Could a wart remain this long? Thank you so much for your help.

The two bumps next to the uvula are on the arch, not the uvula itself. I have a picture if neded

Brief Answer:
Not a wart

Thanks for your query.

I have gone through your query and medical history; based on the same I believe that you may not be suffering from the wart.

It may be a residual tonsil or hyper trophy of a taste bud.

Need not worry. For your information, I agree with your ENT specialist.

Please send me the image of your oral cavity. I shall have a look and opine better.

And yes, a wart may not stay for that long.

Waiting for your response,

I have attached the photo. On the left side of the screen you can see the white bump on the wall of the throat next to the base of the tongue. Next to the uvula you can see a slight protrusion. That is the yellow bump that is on the back side the wall ( my ent said these are cysts) are these normal? Does the white bump look like a wart? Nervous of what it could be. Would a wart grow in size? It has remained the same

Brief Answer:
Right oral anterior pillar lymphoepithelial cyst

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I have gone through your follow up query and images; it suggests that you may be suffering from the oral lymphoepithelial cyst ( OLC ) of the right anterior pillar region.

For your kind information OLC is a white or slightly yellow sub mucosal nodule. Treatment for this is the surgical removal and biopsy is needed for definitive diagnosis.
