Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation On Dog Bite Scar
Infections, including tetanus and rabies, need to be considered.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I am Dr Rakesh Sharma answering your query.
I can understand your concern.
You have done right thing by washing it with soap and water.
Burning sensation may be a sign of some skin damage as well.
Infections, including tetanus and rabies, need to be considered.
If your skin is exposed and blood has come out ( Grade 2 bite) according to world health organisation guide line, anti rabies vaccination should be taken.
I would suggest you to let your doctor decide if you need vaccination or not, because it is job of an expert eye, who has see many cases.
Hope I have answered your query.
If any thing else you are welcome.
Good luck.
