Suggest Treatment For Burping, Nausea And Vomiting At Night
Question: Dear Sir,
I have been suffering from mild chronic gastritis since last year. In the initial stages of this problem my stomach use to be acidic very frequently and if i eat Paneer, yogurt or Soya for dinner then the reflux symptoms would show up including Burps, burning sensation, nausea and vomiting at night. I started taking homeopathic medicines along with diet control - no fried or oily food, paneer, yogurt, cheese also i stopped consuming alcohol and most of the symptoms (reflux) had disappeared.
Since i also suffered from anxiety issues and in the last one year i did not have any job and was idle staying back home, it exacerbated my anxiety problem. I switched from homeopathy to allopathy in may this year and the doc gave me Sompraz D and stalopam plus for anxiety issues. I have not been taking medicines in the past one month. I feel i am doing much better now but i have lost 10kgs and not able to gain weight, since i had cut down on most fat products i don't understand what are my options now? If i eat outside food, it still gives me burning sensation and the stomach discomfort lasts for 2-3 days. Is acid reflux curable? if yes, how much time does it take to get fully cured?
Age - 25
Medical history - Jaundice in 2009
Family history - my mother also had gastric ulcers before marraige

Brief Answer:
take medicines for a sufficient duration
Detailed Answer:
Hello, I have reviewed your reports.
Seems you have reflux symptoms. I would suggest to take sompraz for a period of atleas 2 months if not taken already. It seems that milk products aggravate your problems. Do you have problems after drinking milk?
Reflux symptoms can be recurrent and you might need to take medicines intermittently. I would suggest:
Regulare exercise, avoid alcohol, smoking, deep fried food, mutton, mint flavoured food, chocolate flavoured food, cut down tea /coffee to less than 3 cups per day, and avoid lying down for 2- 3 hours after meals. These problems will help to prevent or reduce reflux episodes.
Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply Dr. XXXXXXX
There is no problem after drinking milk on the contrary it used to give me relief when i was having acidity issues. But that is not the case with Yogurt and Paneer, i drink 2 glasses of milk everyday. Would you recommend if i continue doing the same?
Six months ago, I had simply cut off alcohol, tea, coffee and deep fried food and all of that you mentioned above and i have only home cooked meals now. Can i join a gym in order to exercise and put on weight? can i also eat a spoon of mayonnaise/cheese with salad once a day may be?
Current symptoms - none basically but i have made a note of these foods which give problems including burps and stomach discomfort
Yogurt, Paneer
Rajma
Chhole
Daal Makhni
Arbi (Colocasia roots)
Fired food (which you already mentioned)
