Suggest Treatment For Burst Blood Vessel In Eye

Question: Hi there, two days ago I burst a blood vessel in one eye. I wasn't concerned... Until just now. I am experiencing some intermittent throbbing around my eye (just above the inner corner, a little below my eyebrow). It's not constant, maybe once or twice every few minutes. Should I be worried? I do have frequent sinus problems....

Brief Answer:
For now, NO. Monitor only and take some tylenol!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this burst blood vessel and this minor throbbing around the eye that you have reported. I have reviewed your information fully and there is no immediate red flag that I should be concerned about. I will say monitor only for now and take Tylenol for relief. This is probably caused by a pulsating blood vessel and there is no real need to get worried. However, should there be significant pain associated with blurred vision, at that time and only then will I recommend a follow up visit with an ophthalmologist!

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
