Brief Answer:
Cataract is easy curable and without adverse outcomes most of the times

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM and for posting your question here.

I understand your concern. Eyes are a very important organ.

Cataract is a problem that usually develops with the age and which is an opacity of the lens of the eye that causes partial or total blindness.
Thought, today there is surgery that restores vision completely, without adverse outcomes.

There are some things you can do meanwhile to prevent to become worse as well:
--Eating a healthy diet (grains, vegetables, fruits, milk, meat), as well as total/saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium intake.
--Diets rich in lutein, zeaxanthin, and B vitamins are associated with a decreased risk of cataracts. This relationship might reflect other benefits of diets high in fruits and vegetables, or lifestyle factors associated with such a diet.
--Smoking is associated with a higher risk of developing cataract.

No reason to be scared. Happens to most of people. And its easily curable when time comes that it affects your daily functioning.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you have further concerns.

Take care,
