
Suggest Treatment For Cellulitis

Question: My grandmother has Cellulitis on right leg. Leg has too much swelling and it that place was hard and painful. Then doctor gave antibiotics for 17 days. But no improvement.
Then she used R1 for Inflammation using for 3 days only.
Please check attached picture . Clearly Water fluid is coming out from that point .

Venusdoppler ultrasound is clear .Sugar normal . Blood sugar normal . ESR is normal.

2.. culture report of the exudate fluid done : None. Just saw the fluid today only.
3.. Leg is advised to be kept in any particular position or not . :
we were advised to keep it straight. Not to sit with the leg in hanging position.

- Must keep the leg elevated at 45 degree angle with support of at least 3 - 4
pillows through out the day that is the basic modality of cellulitis management .
- Ideally culture report of this fluid must be sent to the laboratory for further
antibiotic management .
- Medicine recommendations till then
* Cap. amoxycillin with clavulanic acid combination is giving excellent results
in our clinic .
* Also required is anti inflammatory tablet as diclofenac or else with
combination of proteolytic enzymes as serratiopeptidase .
