Question: My lips are chapped and hot and I have sores on the top of my mouth and on my tongue. This all happened after having dental work done on Thursday.

Thanks for writing in.

You haven't mentioned which dental procedure you went through.
You might have got reaction to anaesthesia if used or it could be due to some irrigant like hydrogen peroxide or sodium hypochlorite if used.
It could also be due to some drug allergy.
You need to revisit your dentist & get it treated accordingly.
Meanwhile you may apply some anaesthetic gel like dentogel on it.
Also take multivitamin for faster recovery.
