Suggest Treatment For Chest Congestion And Cough

Question: Hi. My husband has been sick the last couple of days with sinus and chest congestion accompanied with a cough. Just a little bit ago I found him in a sleep walking/drunken state stumbling down the hallway with no recollection of what he was doing. When I met up with him my touch startled him and he was shaking. I got him in bed and took temp....100.4. He may or may not have taken cold medicine before bed. Do I need to take him to the hospital due to his state? If not, what do I need to be aware of? How best should I care for him? We have had many bad flu cases at work lately and I just want to make sure that I'm doing everything I need to be doing. Thank you, XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
Need medical attention
Detailed Answer:
Hi , thanks for your query. In my opinion, your husband might be having viral flu. All symptoms rare suggestive of that. When you describe his mental status I feel he in altered sensoruium and needs medical attention. I would suggest you to consult with the doctor and get evaluated properly. Empirically at home you can maintain his temperature below 99 degree farenheit by paracetamol 640 mg tablet and tapid sponging. Maintain good hydration. Continue cold medicine. Seek medical help as early as possible. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
