Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain And Tiredness

Question: My partner has been feeling very tired recently, he has a lump possibly a gland in front of his left ear for about 3 weeks, he now has a strange left eye that feels scratchy sometimes and looks more closed than his other eye. The past 5 days he has chest pain and told me his heart has been making sounds like under water which I then heard myself the other night sounding like a heart murmur! He is 34 and I'm very worried about him, he lives in London and is finding it hard to get a gp appoinment.
Brief Answer:
NHS walk in center
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for your question. I agree that his symptoms, especially the chest pain, need to be evaluated immediately. His other symptoms with his swollen gland and eye problem may be due to allergies and can wait for GP visit but the chest pain and abnormal heart sounds should be checked out immediately. In London the NHS provides walk in centers and I suggest that he find one nearby and go there today. Here is a link to the site giving you more information.

Thank you, he went to a&e and was therw for a very long time, one doctor queried an aneurysm, after an xray and bloods another doctor werent sure what the matter was and said pulled chest muscle! I wasnt there or else id have asked do pulled muscles cause a murmur? He has to see a specialist for his eye as it has given him an intense headache from the back of it, so will need to go to an eye hospital tomorrow. Could the 2 be related and should he just except a pulled chest muscle just because they werent sure what was causing it all?
Brief Answer:
Push to get in to see GP
Detailed Answer:
Hello again and thanks for your follow up. I am glad that he is going to see an eye specialist. I doubt that the two are related. It is reassuring that he was seen and got a chest xray and other tests and nothing serious was found. I would get him to push to get in to see the GP for his chest pain and murmur. Sometimes the murmur is just a benign flow murmur but that combined with the chest pain is concerning. I hope that he is feeling much better soon.
