Suggest Treatment For Chronic Cough, Heartburn And Dull Pain In Ribs

default
Posted on Sat, 21 May 2016
Question: Hi - I have a chronic cough. It comes and goes but never goes completely. I have tried an inhaler, tablets for potential GERD and antibiotics but not cleared it. I do get some heartburn which made them think it was GERD and also got a dull ache by right ribs so presumably muscular from coughing. Liver, pancreas, gall bladder tests all fine. Please can you advise how to get this cured? It started after a virus and has never gone away fully months later. I do snore and can sometimes choke in the night.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
There are few possibilities in your case.
1. Allergic cough.
2. Obstructive sleep apnea.
3. Uncontrolled GERD
All these can cause chronic cough.
So I need little more information to find out the cause in your case.
So please let me know
1. Do you smoke?
2. Do you have any allergies?
3. Are you obese?
4. Which inhaler you tried?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
