Some practical advices and recommendations
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your question.
I read it carefully and I understand your concern.
Your loose bowel movement for such a long time its classified as chronic diarrhea.
You should for sure see a gastroenterologist who can recommend some labs to rule out important causes of diarrhea.
-- Consider a stool for ova and parasite.
-- Do a gluten free and lactose free test, by staying some days by not consuming foods that has these components.
-- Do a stool for occult blood and if it's positive the next step would be a colonoscopy (if you haven't done one in the last 10 years.
Without ruling out the cause of diarrhea, I don't have a specific recommendation for a medicine that would work. Basically any over the counter medicine to stop diarrhea its not recommended because they may cause blockage in the bowel by stopping the movement. Use them in moderation.
Be careful with your diet by adding foods that cause constipation.
Use a probiotic to stabilize the bowel normal flora.
Hope this is helpful.
