Suggest Treatment For Chronic Dry Cough, Red Bump Behind Throat And Raspiness
Question: I have had a chronic cough for about 5 months. It is a dry cough and I do not cough at night. My throat sometimes feels raspy and I noticed a red bump on the back of my throat... It looks like a blister but it does not hurt and I do not have a soar throat....just raspiness lower down in my throat
Brief Answer:
Lisinopril is the cause. Cough does't disappear immediately!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this chronic cough. Lisinopril is the cause. unfortunately, the resolution of symptoms is not always immediate. I am sure you must have noted significant improvement but then, there is still some hanging around. Exercise patience and all would soon settle. The other causes are gastric reflux and postnasal drip. However, you are not reporting either and it would be unlikely to be a cause at this time.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
