Suggest Treatment For Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Question: Yes, please. My husband has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and now has been diagnosed with reflux, which has caused a nasty cough and irritated his throat up under the epeglotus. Not sure of the correct spelling. He is taking Zantac for the past 2 days. The doctor prescribed omeprazole 40mg originally. This made him terribly ill with diarrhea and dry heaves. Those symptoms were alleviated when the drug was out of his system. However the cough came back with a vengeance. So now he is trying the Zantac. The cough is irritated by eating and it is better when he is lying flat. My question for you is the past couple of days he has begun having pretty severe occasional shivers. Of course it is the weekend so no doctor to phone. We are just very curious as to what is causing the shivers and if there is anything we can do to stop them when they start. My husband is 79 years old, has lost a lot weight. He is a small man, and normally weighs between 115 and 120. Today he weighed 103.
