Suggest Treatment For Chronic Gastritis Cause Helicobacter Pylori Infection
I am 29 years old diagnosed with Mild Antral and Corporal Gastritis in endoscopy and H.Pylori negative. Also had Colonoscopy due to loose stools. Results were normal. Abdominal ultrasound results were also normal. Blood test was normal. When I was.diagnosed 3 months back I took Nexpro and Aciloc.for two weeks. then in between no medicines. again I had continuous belching after eating and feeling full after eating little. sometimes no appetite too. I am just confused. I am not sure if gastritis is cured. lost lot of weight too about 7 kgs in this three months. How long will it take to cure? Really worried about it.
Repeat test for H pylori, capsule omeprazole
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
Chronic gastritis might be caused by H pylori. It would be better if test for the organism again, before starting the treatment.
Apart from the medication, I would suggest few measures. You first need to avoid spicy, fried or processed food stuff. You need to take more of green leafy vegetables, fruits and fresh juices. Avoid smoking, alcohol and carbonated drinks, even coffee /tea. Reduce the intake of meat. Eat small frequent meals instead of heavy meal. Drink plenty of water.
Medication that I would suggest is capsule omeprazole 20 mg once daily half an hour before breakfast for 15 days. I would not say it will be cured within 15 days, but there should be improvement by two weeks. I would suggest you for follow up after 15 days. I feel with this measures you should be fine.
This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
It may take up to a month.

Hi
Welcome.
As mentioned above with the medicines and with certain measures mentioned above, you should be fine by month.
As you have mentioned about dizziness, I would have checked your blood pressure, and then would have asked for random blood sugar and Haemoglobin estimation, to rule out hypoglycemia and anaemia.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you.

You can repeat, not absolutely required

Hi
Welcome.
Good to hear from you.
As the previous test was within limits, but it is better if check it once, you have mentioned about the dizziness.
Even though less likely to be altered and it you have very rare chance of sugar problems, so relax.
Hope this helps.
