Question: Abdominal pain evaluated by PCP. CT of abdomin w/o contrast unremarkable, Abdominal and pelvic ultrasound unremarkable, but CT with oral and IV contrast showed mild non-specific thickening of terminal ileum. I have history of Hypothyrodism (under control with Levothyroxine), Endometriosis, Arthritis and recently dx with Fibromyalgia. I am on Lipator for high cholesterol and about 4 other medications for various issues, plus multi-vitamins and vitamin D. I have what started as chest pain (had an EKG normal results), but now has evolved into a chronic indigestion feeling at the bottom of by breastbone. My stomach is automatically bloated the second I ingest food. I am constantly exhausted, in pain, have gurgling sounds coming from my intestines. I have tingling in my legs, feet and hands whenever is sit still for more than 5 minutes. I did have nerve testing done, still waiting for results. I have been tested for Celiac Disease, negative. I am tested for TB annually for my job all testing negative. I have gained a significant amount of weight with a very good diet and working out (cardio and weight training 4-5 days a week for 1.5-2 hours). Also, blood tested for Pregnancy, negative. I am at a loss. I just want to feel better. Any suggestions to?

Brief Answer:
You may need upper GI endoscopy for further evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Current major problem is chronic indigestion and bloated feeling. It may be due to reflux/acidity.
You may need upper GI endoscopy for further evaluation.I suggest proton pump inhibitors like tablet Pantoprazole 40 mg once daily half hour before food for six weeks to my patients.
Tingling sensation in legs may be due to vitamin B12 deficiency. You can take vitamin B complex empirically.
You should take lot of fruits and vegetables in your diet.

It is good that you are active in daily activities.
You may also need regular physical check-up and investigations due to your multiple problems.
Presently,I also suggest for latest routine investigations like routine hemogram, random blood sugar, liver and renal function test, lipid profile, thyroid profile, urine RE/ME.

Non specific thickening in terminal ileum doesn't require any aggressive treatment. It is generally due to T.B,but it good that it is negative in your case.

You should take your medicines regularly.

Get well soon.
Hope I have answered your question.
Further queries are most welcome.
