Question: a 30 year male patient diagnosed as liver Parenchymal disease with portal hypertension with pan gastritis with esophageal varies. pt is alcoholic since 5 years. kindly comment whether alcohol consumption is lead to said ailment or not?

I have seen the attached report. Liver parenchymal disease and portal hypertension are most commonly caused by alcohol consumption which further leads to esophageal varices. But in rare cases it can be caused by medicines used on chronic basis or liver infections like chronic hepatitis.
