Suggest Treatment For Chronic Lower Back Pain And Intermittent Hip Pain
Question: I am hurting more and more, rapidly. I've had lower back pain for years, Intermittent hip pain. In the last couple weeks, my left thumb/lower palm has been hurting and is swollen. The pain seems to be increasing nearly daily. My knee too. Today, and some yesterday, I'm getting occasional sharp pains in my big toe, almost as if I stepped on a needle. Today, it's very painful to turn my head with intermittent arm and leg pain. Suddenly today I hurt so badly, all over. A friend gave me an oxycontin, it didn' YYYY@YYYY make the pain stop. That is the first time I ever tried that and i expected it to knock it out. Tramadol (I have a scrip for that) hasn't been helping. Should I go to urgent care?

Sudden increase in pain is definitely something that needs immediate medical attention.
You mentioned that you have already have had oxycontin and tramadol,that haven't helped at all.Ideally,these medicines are expected to reduce some amount of pain,but if they haven't helped you,then the exact reason needs to be found out.
I would suggest you to go to ER and get necessary investigations done.
Such type of sudden increase in pain usually occurs due to blood derangements.
Nothing to worry about though. Once the diagnosis is made,the pain should come down with appropriate drugs.
If oral pain killer medicines are not helping much,you have a n option of taking a pain killer injection,either intramuscular or through intravenous infusion.
