Suggest Treatment For Chronic Lower Back Pain Post A Failed Rotator Cuff Surgery

Question: dear sirs, I am consulting with you about a rotator cuff injury on my right arm.i must inform you that I am a chronic pain patient for a failed surgery on my lower back.recently I was scheduled to have my rotator cuff repaired in surgery.the largest of the four muscles connected was torn.the surgery was called off at the last minute by the anesthesiologist because of my daily use of EMBEDA ER FOR CHRONIC PAIN MANAGEMENT FOR MY BACK .the previous week the doctor prescribed me hydrocodone 5 x325 for my arm.then moved it up to hydrocodone 7.5 325.i responded well to the later,it helped me with breaking pain from my arm while still taking EMBEDA ER.the anestesiaologist reccomnded stopping embeda er for a week, then have surgery.what medicines do you suggest that the anestesiaologist use before and my ortho doctor use after surgery?
Brief Answer:
Embeda usually not stopped for a week before surgery
Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Thanks for the query
Usually Embeda or Morphine is not stopped for a week before surgery. It's possible that you may be on Aspirin or other similar medication which is why the surgery was called off.
Embeda is effective to be used for pain management before and after surgery. Hydrocodone will suffice after surgery. Tramadol is also effective after surgery.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
