Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking on HCM!
I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows:
1. You are reporting to have left abdominal pain for two years and all the exams are normal.
Your symptoms may be related with :
- IBS( irritable bowel syndrome) . Please can you tell me if you have diarrhea or constipation or hard stools?
- visceral hypersensitivity. This term is used to describe a pain in inner organs at a level more intense than normal. The rectal region is commonly involved in visceral hypersensitivity during large bowel spasms. The person feels pain more than normal during these large bowel spasms.
2. Meantime I suggest to :
- use anti spasmodic drugs like No spa.
- increase physical activity
- avoid unnecessary stress
- try to keep soft stools
Hope it was helpful to you!

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
With regards to IBS it has typical and atypical clinical symptoms.
So the continuous pain may be due to IBS too as an atypical clinical symptom.
Since you have excluded all organic issues(colonoscopy, MRI, abdominal ultrasound all normal) that can cause your pain, than the most probably cause of your symptoms is a functional disorder .
Otherwise to rule out visceral hypersensitivity your doctor slide an inflatable tube up your rectum and inflate it until you start to complain of pain.
If you have IBS and visceral hypersensitivity than you will experience much more pain at less inflation rates than people without these disorders.
Please discuss it with your doctor!
Wish you health
