Suggest Treatment For Chronic Lyme's Disease

Question: CBC panel says schistocytes present, acanthocytes present, 1+ anisocytosis.

Diagnosed with chronic lyme, co-infections including bartonella (no longer present). Inflammation markers high CRP 47, MPO 787, LpPLA 254, Fibranogian 477. CRP went down from 75. Sedimentation rate about same (35) since last test 6 months ago. clostridium HPHPA present in last test, but have to be retested. w

myelocytes =1

also Abs.CDS=CD57+Lymh 10, %CDS=/CD57+Lymphs 1.7 both were low

also bands 10%

You had chronic Lyme disease. Acute infection can be treated by a course of antibiotics like doxycyclin but chronic infection has no treatment.

Only symptomatic treatment is there like you can take analgesic for pain.

So please tell me about your present symptoms.

Initially you have other co infection so overall your laboratory findings like band cells, few myelocytes, low lymphocytes, high ESR, high CRP and all other markers are due to infection.

schitocytes and acanthocytes may be due to some RBC destruction.

So don't worry about your lab finding.

pain in hands and feet, previous bartonella infection, clostridium (getting retested for this). Overall malaise and fatigue.

concerned about cancer potential. Heard myelocytes are not supposed to be present. How common would lymphoma or leukemia be?

Your symptoms of pain, malaise, fatigue are common in chronic Lyme disease.

You can take drugs like ibuprofen or diclofenac for pain relief. Don't worry about previous infection.

Myelocytes can be seen in infection. It does not always indicate sign of leukemia so don't worry about that. Band cells and myelocytes are seen in many infection.

In leukemia count is very high. Don't worry about that. Just be relaxed.

Thanks-forgot to mention armpit lump (painful at first, now not painful, diminished in size) and easier than average bruising (that is all). Which counts are normally high in leukemia?

In leukemia total wbc count is very high. It is generally more then 50,000. And myelocytes counts are also high. One myelocytes does not indicate any types of leukemia.

Don't worry at all about leukemia.

Painful lump in armpit may be reactive lymphnode and will subsides by itself. Don't worry about that.

Disseminated intra vascular coagulation and thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura are very rare complications of chronic Lyme disease.

It can leads to conduction defects can occur in heart. But is also not common.

Other complications like arthritis, persistent fatigue, neurological symptoms like tingling sensation can occur.
