It is common to catch cold in when breathing cold air. Usually it is transmitted from one person to another. It may be some low immunity. Maybe low secretory IgA levels. You can check it with a blood test for immunoglobulin levels. Nothing much can be done if it is low. More common causes of low immunity can be checked with basic blood tests like complete blood count, fasting blood sugar, thyroid profile can be done. If some test is positive then treatment can be taken accordingly.
If it is just runny nose and no fever, then it may allergy to cold. In such a case you will need antiallergic medicine like cetirizine 1 - 2 times a day when symptoms are present.
