Suggest Treatment For Constipation And Bleeding From Anus

Question: I am having constipation, maybe 1 small BM a day and I am having some small bleeding of my anus. I was taking some herbal and oxygen laxatives, but they do not seem to be working. I was thinking maybe just juicing for a couple days to see if that would help.... Any ideas on what this could be or what I should do.

Hello.
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern.
You probably are suffering from Chronic Constipation and that might have caused hemorrhoids that can be a cause behind the blood you got in stools.
I would advise you following:
1. To get a thyroid function test done as hypothyroidism might be the cause behind the constipation that you are having.
2. To take Laxative like Lactulose in night.
3. To increase fiber in diet.
In case you have already taken Lactulose and still not passing the stools, then macrogol (polyethylene glycol) sachets help a lot.
You should get evaluated by your doctor for blood in stools, he will examine you and will do a proctoscopy in his office to checl for hemorrhoids, rectal prolapse. If he has any suspicion of Inflammatory bowel disease, he will post you for a colonoscopy.
