There are a few things that can help

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

There are a few life style changes and medications you can use to get relief from your situation.

1) Drink ample fluids(you are already doing so and that's a great thing).
2) Increase fibre intake. You can read about foods which have more fibre on the internet or in any book and prefer those foods in your meals. Some examples are green vegetables, citrus fruits, peach, XXXXXXX bread, whole wheat products. You can also use organic fibre supplements.
3) You should reduce the quanity of fats in your meals.
4) Reduce the quantity of meat in your meals.
5) Do keep some regular physical activity going. Some walk a day will keep your gut working.
6) Drink 2 glasses of water before meals.
7) Avoid binge eating take 3..4 small meals a dsy instead of two heavy ones.
8) Avoid fizzy drinks.

Now I will mention some medical aids which can help you.

1) You can use syrup Cremafen thrice a day 1 table spoon.
2) Syrup lactulose showed great results in my patients with constipation that can be discussed with your doctor.
3) If none of above two works then Sodium Picsulphate can be used.
4) As a last resolt Enema is used.

I would suggest you to deal things in a proper sequence. Start with diet and life style modifications before you can swtich to medications.

I would also suggest you to follow up with your urologist about prostat issues , drinking more water will definitely cause some issues with your prostat symptoms.

Everything will be better with time. You just have to take care.

I hope this answered your question. If you have more queries I am happy to answer.Otherwise rate and close the discussion

Thank you for your reply, I do exercise to a point, I think my guts are screwed up because of all the medication I've taken over the years such as pain meds for the 4 surgeries I have had done on my left foot. I'm taking thyroid medication, Prevacid, androgel, and ativan. now mind you I don't take androgel or ativan everyday . with your body being so built up can you have a heartattack with that pressure constantly pushing on you? I have also take a suppository up my rectum hoping it will all release soon.

Things will get better with time.

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,

Thanks for writing back,
There should be no reason of having a heart attack if you are built, being physically fit actually reduces the chances of cardiac issues.

Yes Ativon and pain killers can cause constipation specially of they contain opiod like tramadol or codine.

I hope suppositories would have helped you by now,

>>Olive oil can act as natural laxative as well.
You will need…
-1 tablespoon of olive oil
-1 teaspoon of lemon juice (optional)

It stimulates your digestive system, which helps get things moving through your colon, and taken regularly it can prevent constipation as well.

Directions
In the morning consume one tablespoon of olive oil. It works best on an empty stomach, so have it before you eat anything else. If you forget, wait until later when you haven’t eaten for a while. You can mix it with a little bit of lemon juice if you like to lighten the flavour (lemon juice also acts as a natural aid for constipation.)

>>Blackstrap molasses has been a sweet savior for more than a few sufferers of constipation, be it chronic or occasional. The reason blackstrap molasses works so well is because of how it is made.

>>Consume one teaspoon of **blackstrap** molasses. Start slow and small here-if you don’t like the flavour of molasses, you can add it to a cup of warm water or tea to dilute the taste. If you find that a teaspoon has not been effective, you can go as high as 1-2 tablespoons, but try less at first.

>>>Flaxseed oil is a pretty simple home remedy for constipation. It sort of coats the walls of the intestine, as well as stool, and increases the number of bowel movements you are having. Enjoying your oil with orange juice is a double edged sword when it comes to constipation, since oranges have a good amount of fibre in them (make sure to get orange juice with pulp, which is what has most of the fibre.)

You will need…
-1 glass of orange juice with pulp (8 oz.)
-1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil

Directions
Mix 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil with 1 glass of orange juice. Drink as needed, but give it time (up to 5 hours) to start working so you don’t overdo it.

In the end I would suggest you to gradually reduce the intake of drugs which you can leave , after discussing with your doctor, you gut will get back to normal with time.
I Hope this answers your question, if your have more queries feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it. Wish you the best of health.
