Suggest Treatment For Constipation

Question: I hurt my back on Thursday and have been unable to go No. 2. I took 2 Ducolax Fri. night and didn't go so I took 2 more Sat. night. I had a problem before and did this and it worked fine but it is now Monday evening and still haven't gone. I don't know if it is my back or my inability to go that has made me so sore. I do take Tramadol for back problems (usually 2 or 3 a day) but have taken every 6 hours for 5 days because it hurts so bad. I didn't take Percoset because I know it constipates you but here I am very constipated. Any suggestions. Do they still recommend enemas or what

Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

Treatment for constipation includes bulk forming agents, stool softeners, rapidly acting, prokinetics, osmotic and laxative agents.

If the above conservative therapies fail then kleen enema can be advised as stat rectally to relieve the constipation.
