Suggest Treatment For Consumption Of High Doses Of Aleve And Excedrin

Question: Yesterday was a bad day for me.. I took around 10 aleve and 2 exceedrin. Will anything happen to me? Should I go to the er?
I would recommend you to go to er and take his advise if you are feeling nausea and vomiting. If there is any other symptoms than I would recommend you to not to delay going to ER if symptoms are worsening.

Brief Answer:
Stomach Ache due to irritation from meds. Drink plenty of water and observe
Detailed Answer:
Medications like Aleve and Excedrin belong to a class of pain killers which tend to strip the stomach lining of its protection and cause a lot of acidity. I believe that, that is what is probably causing your stomach ache issues. You have to be careful as regular and excessive use of these medications will lead to hyper acidity and stomach ulcers. As far as going to the ER, I do not believe you need to go right now, drink plenty of water and allow the drugs to work their way out of your body, you should be OK. Stay away from Spicy, very Oily and very Sugary foods as they will all increase stomach acid production and worsen your situation. An Antacid Like Omeprazole (Prilosec in the USA, should be available Over The Counter) can be used for a few days (maybe 2 or 3) to help combat the pain.
I hope this helps.
