scar tissue formed over injury.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking query on this forum.
Have read your question in detail and have seen the photo attached(very unclear)
Whenever any part of body is injured,The cells at that place starts multiplying to heal the wound. This rapid multiplication of cells lead to formation of scab(a dry, rough protective crust).
Corneal abrasion is also a form of injury as the body heals itself a small scar is formed which you can see as a gray spot on cornea.
Don't worry it will shed away in 2-3 weeks. However if this does not shed on its own therapy with steroid drops would be given but right now we can't use steroid drops as it will cause ulceration of the scarred wound.
So wait and watch is the best policy.Keep on using other medicines as suggested your doctor. Most likely the scar will shed off on its own in few weeks.
Please attach a clear photograph(high resolution).
Thanks.
