1. A renal cortical cyst is a fluid filled thin walled bubble in the right kidney. This is a harmless finding. If your wife has a 17 x 16 mm cyst in the right kidney then it requires no treatment. This cyst will not cause any problem. Many people have cyst in kidney.

2. She can get an ultrasound scan done after 6 months to know if the cyst increase in size.

3. In conclusion, this is a harmless finding and requires no treatment.
