
Suggest Treatment For Cough And Cold In Children

Question: hi . my kid is 2.6 year old. she is having cold and cough since 25 days. in between it had reduced after giving medicine. but again it has increased. basically cough is more with running nose. can you please suggest. right now I m giving her medicines for cold and cough. but want to know any other medicine I need to give her.

It may be allergic cough, as there is no fever.
Please tell me if there is fever?
You may give syp. monticope 5ml at night.
Syp. ventorlin 5ml 3 times a day.
Nasoclear nasal drops to relive nasal congestion.
Nebulisation with asthalin and normal saline may be given to reduce cough, particularly at night.
If no response then you should see a doctor.
You may be advised some blood test like CBC, ESR, Mx test and sputum for AFB.
