Suggest Treatment For Cough And Dry Mouth

Question: For the past two weeks or so I've had a weird sensation in my throat. When breathing in as if to build up phlegm in my throat in order to spit, I feel like there is a very small amount mucus, but it is not enough to cough up. I had a mild cough for about 10 days but it has gone away. I also noticed that sometimes throughout the day I have mild dry mouth. I have no pain or discomfort when I swallow and have not had any nasal congestion, or trouble breathing. I currently have a small patch of ringworm on my stomach and finger and I'm using Clotrimazole to treat it. I'm not sure if the ringworm is completely unrelated or not.
Brief Answer:
You are probably having mild seasonal allergy .
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Thanks for the query.
I have read your query , reviewed your medications and understand your concern.
As per your clinical history it appears that you are having mild seasonal allergy leading to small mucous in posterior pharyngeal wall resulting in dry cough.
If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you
Plenty of fluids ,
Steam Inhalation twice daily &
Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast combination once in night.
You will get relief .
Ringworm in stomach & finger is completely unrelated to your throat problem.
Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
