Fever has come down but the coughing has not come down yet.He is refusing to eat anything.Pls advice.
Brief Answer:
Need bronchodilators
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the follow up.
I would like to suggest you to give bronchodilators like syp. Ventorlin or asthalin three times a day.
Nasoclear nasal drops for nasal block and to reduce cough due to postnasal drip.
It will take some time (5 to 7 days) for cough to settle down.
Also try syp. Monticiope 5ml at night to reduce allergic cough and cold.
Use nebulisation with asthalin and normal if cough is excessive and disturbing at night.
Discuss all about this with your doctor for prescription.
Child will eat once his cough settles, till then you can try milk, fruits like apple, papaya, chikoo, oral re hydration solution etc.
Hope I helped you.
