Brief Answer:
Get done sputum culture and sensitivity report.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion you are having infection mostly in the lungs. Chest x ray can be normal but your symptoms, blood reports are more suggestive of lung infection.
So get done sputum culture and sensitivity report.
Culture report will isolate the causative organism and sensitivity report will guide about effective antibiotic treatment.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

Thanks Doctor.
I need to ask is this be related to the problem I had six months earlier. At that time chest X ray show opacity left upper lobe. Had AFB sputum test but was negative.
Given on antibiotic for one week clinical symptoms improved.
Recent Chest x ray show no abnormal findings in the X ray and is clear.
I not feeling an discomfort in the lungs. Only main problem is cough with mucus mainly in the morning, throat irritation ,post nasal drip ,slight discomfort around eyes and low grade fever in the evening(99-99.5) daily from last one month.
Taking an anti allergic like Montair LC helps in subsiding the cough.
My doctor is suggesting to have chest CT scan. Will it be helpful as my current chest Xray is normal.

Yes, chest CT scan will be of more useful than chest x ray.
Actually chest x ray can miss few things like retrocostal areas, retro cardiac areas etc.
So better to get done CT scan to rule out any possibility of tuberculosis or pneumonia.
Please let me know

2. Do you have allergies?
