Suggest Treatment For Cutaneous Mastocytosis
Question: My granddaughter just turned 5. She was diagnosed as an infant with cutaneous mastocytosis. She has systemic symptoms. She takes H2 and H1 blockers daily. As we have been trying to get her ready to begin school and practice coloring, cutting and writing her name she complains her arms are too tired. Is there any possibility that the medications would cause this or is it just rebellion? Her hands have a slight tremble. Also, do you have any suggestions for sleep disorders. Despite all of our efforts, she has a very hard time going to sleep. It is like she must be totally beyond exhaustion before sleep comes. Could the medicines be causing this problem?
Brief Answer:
The symptoms are not related to the drugs she's using
Detailed Answer:
Hi...I understand your concern.
The symptoms are not related to the drugs she's on.
The drugs she's using do not cause insomina or hand tremors like this.
For her sleep issues you can try Melatonin after consulting with her pediatrician as it is a prescription drug.
