Brief Answer:
Mostly, pregnancy outcome would be favourable.

Detailed Answer:
Generally placental cysts less than 4. 5 cm in size do not cause complications in the growth of the baby.
If there is more than one cyst, further complications may arise.
In your case, there is a single cyst, and less than 4. 5 cm, so please do not worry.
There are more than 90 % of chances that the baby would grow normally.
ONly big cysts and multiple placental cysts are associated with risks of fetal growth restriction.
Serial ultrasound scans are needed every month to know if the cyst is growing in size.
Placental cysts may complicate upto 10 % of pregnancies, but the good part is that in majority of cases, pregnancy outcome is good.
I hope you are reassured now.

2.My wife reducing weight a bit 3 to 4 kg..

Brief Answer:
As below

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
1. ALl other measurements are normal, the growth rate is absolutely fine. The baby is doing quite well.
2. Yes, I saw that the weight has reduced. Please do not worry about it. IN the first 3 - 4 months, maternal weight may reduce, it will start picking up now, she will start gaining weight gradually.
She should have 5 - 6 meals per day.
Are you vegetarian or non vegetarian, where do you reside ?
I can accordingly give diet tips for weight gain and for dealing with the acidity.
Do not worry about the placenta, it is not mentioned as previa in this ultrasound scan, it must have moved upwards.
Take care.

Thank U Madam!
I am a CA ..my wife now residing at Vizag for check up n all.My parents are with her..
She is a non vegetarian ang having egg n fish occasionally...
But every now and then she is having acidity n has to take gelosil antacid syrup
She is basically having acidity when she is taking Livogen Iron Folic acid tablet.
What to do Madam ?
Due to acidity she is having slight pain in her lower abdomen..
Earlier she had placenta previa and bleeding for 2 days...was hospitalized and now fine...
Doc prescribed her rest and that's one of d reason for acidity I think...
Is that iron tablet necessary to take Everyday? Or any other medicine is there?

Brief Answer:
As below

Detailed Answer:
Sorry for the delay in my response, due to rains the internet connectivity was very poor.
For weight gain she needs to take more of the following foods -
Egg white
Fish
Paneer
Tofu
Pulses
Fresh fruits and vegetables
Curd, milk, buttermilk etc.
INstead of eating 2 - 3 big meals, she should eat every 2 - 3 hours.
Avoid eating 2 hours before going to bed.
Take a glass of chilled milk at night before going to bed.
Livogen can cause acidity, she should take the tablet after lunch in the afternoon.
Iron tablet is necessary to take daily, but there is a different brand called Softiron that leads to less acidity.
If her hemoglobin levels are good, she can take iron tablets every alternate day.
When she sleeps, ask her to keep 2 pillows underneath her head to reduce acidity symptoms.
Yes, lying down and resting also can cause acidity.
SHe can take small walks after the major meals of the day.
Avoid oily, spicy, greasy food and avoid eating from outside.
SInce the placenta has thankfully moved upwards now, she should be able to move around and feel better.
PLease feel free to discuss further.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you so much for the appreciation.
I understand the anxiety and concern of any patient, and I try my best to connect personally with that person and provide answers so that they feel comfortable, relaxed and positive.
I think that is the best gift for a patient - a doctor's patience, understanding and detailed and polite response.
You can always be assured that you will get such a response from me, to whatever doubts you may have in the future.
Why do you get tensed ? And why should you not be hopeful ?
Yes, hopefully the TIFFA will be fine, and should show a resolution or decrease in size in the placental cyst.
Keep me posted on the report of the TIFFA when you get it .
Since your father in law is diabetic, there is a slight risk of your wife also developing gestational ( pregnancy related ) diabetes.
First let me know the results of the blood sugar test, then only we need to worry whether it is high and needs to be controlled.
Blood sugars can be controlled by dietary modifications ( avoiding oil, ghee, junk food, sugar, salt, processed foods ) and daily moderate level of exercise.
So if she gets diabetes, we would discuss how to deal with that.
why worry unnecessarily.
I am also providing you with the direct link to my profile -

Brief Answer:
As below

Detailed Answer:
See conventionally pregnancy duration is 9 months as per laymen.
In medical scientific terminology however, the pregnancy duration is 40 weeks from the date of the last menstrual period.
Her period would have been somewhere around 15 days before embryo transfer, so around the 15th of March, so 40 weeks from then is the 22nd of December.
So 36 weeks will be completed on the 24th of November.
I hope you understood this calculation.
Most accurate is the first ultrasound scan.
Dating is done from the first ultrasound scan.
Can you let me know the date of the first scan and the weeks mentioned in it ?
Yes, everything will be fine.
Take care.
