Brief Answer:
It might be viral infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Thank you for providing necessary information.
I am very happy to know that you don't have diabetes or hypertension .
After careful analysis of your history the most probable cause for this kind of cyst is herpes infection.
Usually herpes will is a painful condition.
In my clinic I use to give a course of antiviral medication like acyclovir.
Most of my patients use to respond well for the medication.
Its very much mandatory to see a doctor as physical examination is necessary for accurate diagnosis.
Don't worry it's a treatable condition.
Home remedies are of not much use.
Hope I am able to satisfy your query.
Feel free to discuss further.
Best regards....Dr.Srilatha

How could I have herpes when it's been years since any sexual activity.
Brief Answer:
it might be latent infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi there
i can understand your concern.
As you rightly said herpes is most commonly seen in sxually active age group.
Varicella-zoster virus(herpes infection)infection causes two clinically distinct forms of disease
1.primary herpes due to infection due to direct contact of infection.
2.Herpes zoster, also known as shingles, results from reactivation of endogenous latent infection within the nerves and ganglia.
usually this reactivation takes place in elderly people and also people having immunodeficiency disease.
As i explained in earlier answer, physical examination is needed for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Hope this satisfies your query.
feel free to discuss further.
