Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Male/22 - couple of cysts on scrotum - for years - were painless and non-progressive - one started causing pain yesterday - turned slightly red - about to burst - past history of warts on hands - did not recur after treatment - wants to know what to do...
I would advise your the following:
Please post fresh picture which are clear and focused.
Apply liquid povidone iodine locally.
Do not fondle/pop out.
The most probable cause can be as per the history you have provided:
Multiple sebaceous cysts, one of them getting infected.
Awaiting for photos.
Please post clear and focused photographs

Hello Doc,
It's really hard to click pictures of the area where the cyst is, I've attached a new photo. I've also attached a old photo when the cyst was new.
My question are:
What should I do to stop irritation?
When should I go for a dermatologist to get my surgery done, today only or wait till the cyst is cooled down?
How long would the surgery take?
Also someone suggested it could be Calcinosis cutis, is it that?

To answer your queries:
Part of the treatment is already suggested.
Consult Dermatologist asap as you may need prescription based antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicines.
He may have an option to operate even earlier or when the conditions are optimal.
Calcinosis cutis is rarest of the conditions, very hard.

Hello Sir,
Thank you for your time and advice, it means a lot.
I went to see a dermatologist, he looked at the cysts. I have steatocystoma multiplex scrotum. He gave me antibiotics medicine and ointment to make the infection go away.
He suggested that my cysts are small and I should leave them as they are. Since I'm only 22 and I've decided I'll go with the surgery.
I've few questions:
Are there chances of these cysts coming back after surgery?
What surgery should I prefer?
Can I do something to reduce chances for any more cysts?
Regards
