Its healing.. but some of the skin on one side of the split skin looks darkened. Her leg was already a little dark due to age-- low kidney function- adema- anemia. Would there be a need to panic and think the its dead skin or infected? There are no signs of swelling oozing redness fever etc..... skin is not warm.. no fever... ....
Brief answer...there is nothing to worry

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern. I would like to assure you that that there is no problem.Darkened portion of skin is due the bleeding in the subcutaneous tissue from the blunt trauma. Since there is no pain,no swelling,no redness and no pain there is nothing to worry.
Had it been infected or dead, skin would not have united and in addition you would have pain along with fever.
Carry on with your dressings as soon you shall be all right.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
